Automatic Windows Updates

Over the coming weeks, we will roll out some major Windows and Microsoft Office Updates containing major security patches.

You will expect to see pop-ups in the bottom right corner of your screen asking you to update or reboot.

Please ensure that you save any work you have open before pressing the update and restart buttons to avoid losing any work.

In some cases, we have seen the updates get sent to the device but give no warning. Can we ask that machines are regularly rebooted? If the computer is shared try to introduce rebooting at the end of shifts.
