This Guide will instruct you on how to perform a manual group policy update on your machine.
This can resolve a number of common access and network related issues.
Before you begin, please save everything you are working on, as this process may require you to log out/restart the machine.
1. Click the "Start Button" in the bottom, left-hand corner of the screen.
2.Type "CMD", and click on the "Command Prompt" icon that is displayed at the top of the list on screen
3.You will now be presented with the Command Prompt window, please type the following into this window:
gpupdate /force
Now press enter, "updating Policy..." will appear on the line bellow,
After a few seconds to a few minutes you will get a message telling you that it has completed successfully, you have successfully updated the group policy and can now close Command prompt window.
However, sometimes you may get a longer message telling you that you need to log out and back in, Please press the "Y" key if promoted, then the "Enter" key
Once you are logged back in you will have completed the Group policy update.
